Madison – Commemorating the LSU Experience
As New Orleans Wedding and Senior Portrait Photographers, we are always are always thrilled when we get requests for specialty photo shoots. Event sessions, family sessions, even real estate sessions, all add variety to our standard photography services. Madison, a senior at Louisiana State University, recently contacted us about a brief mini session to take a few portraits to commemorate her LSU experience and for use in post graduate applications. As LSU Alumni, both Sylvia and I jumped at the opportunity to visit our alma mater. Although our time with Madison was brief, we had a blast working with this this beautiful young lady. Her stunning blue-green eyes, wonderful complexion, energy and enthusiasm, and a brisk fall morning in Baton Rouge, were the perfect ingredients for some wonderful portraits. Please join us in congratulating Madison on her accomplishments at LSU, and wishing her all the best in her continuing educational journeys.

Caroline Amazing Senior Portrait Session New Orleans
A beautiful spring afternoon and a gorgeous high school senior. What a great combination! We had a great time photographing Caroline for her Senior Portrait Session this past Friday. The first stop on our tour of the city started out in the New Orleans Arts District. So much culture and history made this a perfect spot to get the creative juices flowing. It didn’t take long to realize how easy this young lady was to work with. She was relaxed, yet confident and focused. Her ability to create a variety of facial expressions from intense and seductive, to relaxed and carefree, was impressive. A simple word or two and she would deliver striking poses like a pro. With so many interesting nooks and crannies, it was easy to find excellent backdrops to compliment her outfits and accentuate her beauty. After wrapping up in the area formerly known as the Warehouse District, we made a brief stop in the French Quarter for a few additional images. Finally, we headed to City Park to finish out the session. We arrived just as the sun dropped low in the sky, casting wonderful light on the moss strewn Oak Trees in the park. It was the prefect place to round out a fun filled afternoon of photography. Caroline will soon be graduating from Mount Carmel and then it’s off to the University of Alabama. We offer our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for continued success to this amazing young lady.
Senior Portrait Session – Bayou Sauvage. As an avid outdoorsman, we decided on a wandering wooden pathway in Bayou Sauvage for Dougie’s senior pictures. Like many young men, he was initially a reluctant participant for his senior portrait session. It didn’t take long before we had him laughing and relaxed and then he turned on the charm. One of his passions is hunting and he brought along a shotgun. Since guns and wildlife refuge’s don’t mix well, we moved on to a different location for a few more images. We figured it was best to let the game wardens and sheriff’s’ deputies focus their efforts elsewhere. I must admit, posing him with graduation garb and a shotgun made for some interesting images. Best wishes to Dougie for a future filled with success and joy.
Allison Shines in the Big Easy – Senior Portraits
While we always love spending time working and playing in New Orleans, Saturday’s senior portrait session had special meaning for Sylvia and I. Our youngest daughter is nearing graduation and it was time for her senior portraits. She chose the French Quarter and City Park as the shoot locations. In typical Allison style, we didn’t know where we were going until the night before. That being said, it was a great choice. The weather was fantastic and of course when the camera was raised, she turned on her charm. City streets, stately oaks, calm ponds, and Allison…the results, of course, were stunning. How could they not be with that glowing smile and those intense eyes. We had so much fun with this shoot. For a change, we weren’t just capturing “moments that matter”, we were living them too! Graduation is around the corner, and another right of passage will come and go. For Allison, it’s onward and upward with a future filled with hopes and dreams. For us, we have a few more memories of joy filled moments as we watch our baby girl blossom into a fine young woman.
Hannah Dazzles at Audobon
We recently had the privilege of spending a wonderful afternoon with Hannah. When she told us she wanted to take her senior portraits at the Audubon Zoo, we were thrilled. What an inspiring setting for senior portraits. From the moment she arrived, she was absolutely glowing. We had a blast laughing and strolling through the zoo while finding just the right locations to accent her outfits. Her energy and beauty was unmistakable and are evident in the images that we captured. Best wishes to Hannah, and congratulations on being a member of the Fisher High School Graduating Class of 2017. Intensity – Football Moments
Blane, a senior at Brother Martin High School, showed his intensity in part one of his senior portrait session. He was a great model and fun to work with. I have to admit, I miss the good old pigskin days and wish I had some photographs like these to reflect upon. It was a great playoff run for Brother Martin but the season is now over. Fortunately, the memories of his “moments that matter” will last a lifetime.
