As wedding photographers covering all of Southeast Louisiana, sharing in the joys of loving couples as they commit their lives to one another is a privilege that we never take for granted. This past Saturday, we left New Orleans for Houma to photograph the wedding of Jamie and Sandie. This amazing couple contacted us several months ago for a consultation. After spending a few moments chatting with them, it was obvious that this couple was truly in love and committed to a happy and healthy relationship. We were thrilled when they chose us to capture the images that they will reflect upon for years to come. When I sat down to write about this wedding, three words instantly came to mind…Joy Filled Moments. These three powerful words are a fitting description for their big day. No detail was left to chance and the wedding venue was decorated artfully with so many personal touches. Observing the union of not just a happy couple but of two families joining as one is a always a wonderful experience. As they exchanged their vows, one look around the room made it clear that delight was shared by all in attendance, including their wonderful children. Our favorite moments during the evening were when we were able to steal the newly married couple away for a few minutes for some couples portraits. The sun was low in the sky and provided just the right amount of light to accentuate the passion shared by this great couple. Thanks to Jamie and Sandie for choosing Fradella Photography and best wishes for a bright and prosperous future. It is our pleasure to share just a few of the happy couples’ “Moments that Matter.”
Chris and Cate, along with numerous friends and family, made the journey from California to New Orleans to exchange their vows on New Years Eve. They selected Oak Alley, with it’s majestic Oaks and beautifully landscaped grounds, as their wedding venue. Weather forecasts were worrisome, but that didn’t hamper their moods or enthusiasm one bit. Smiles and laughter filled the afternoon and mother nature cooperated just enough to allow the wedding to proceed as planned. As always, Oak Alley staff managed the event expertly and everything flowed perfectly. Join us in wishing them them joy, happiness, laughter and love in 2017. Here are a few of their “moments that matter.”
Chris and Morgan at the Bayou Barn.
With a twinkle in their eyes and electricity in the air, Chris and Morgan exchanged their vows at the Bayou Barn this past weekend. This was our first visit to the Bayou Barn and we absolutely loved the rustic setting. The staff was outstanding. All the small details made this one of the most interesting venues we have had the good fortune to visit. The cake prepared by Kat’s Cakes was exquisite and the upside down display was just amazing to behold. The entire bridal party was lively and energetic and Morgan was an absolutely glowing bride. One of our favorite moment was when Chris and Morgan’s adorable daughter was escorted along a wooden path with her white chariot (ok embellished a bit there but it was really a cute buggy), wielding a sign reading “Daddy Here Comes Mommy.” Moments later, the beautiful bride and her gushing mother strolled down the wood planked pathway to meet Chris. The look on Chris’s face as Morgan walked down the aisle was priceless. After a few pictures with the Bridal Party, food fun and dance followed. It was a great evening! Thanks to Chris and Morgan for allowing us the opportunity to capture their “moments that matter.”

Thomas and Meghan enjoyed a wonderful afternoon and evening with family and friends. Too many magical moments to share all of them but these are a few of our favorite ‘moments that matter’. Congratulations and many blessings for a marriage filled with joy, laughter and love!
Scott & Melissa – What a fantastic afternoon and evening with Scott Falgout and Melissa Pickering Falgout. They planned perfectly and got their desired golden hour wedding. The venue was artistically decorated to the bride and grooms vintage/traditional preferences. The whole experience was festive and the entire bridal party was so much fun to be around. We were so fortunate to have been a part of their wedding day experience.
An energetic and fun young couple enjoyed a beautiful wedding ceremony under a stately oak tree. Love was in the air. The weather was great and the setting couldn’t have been better. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
Jennifer and Nathan chose New Orleans as the location for their destination wedding. It turned out to be the perfect venue. Jennifer’s parents had honeymooned in the Big Easy many years ago, establishing ties to the city. Close friends and family traveled to the city for the quaint and romantic wedding. As the bride prepared, the men enjoyed a cocktail in the lounge. Soon enough the ladies arrived to a jubilant greeting from the men. The bridal party moved to the courtyard, which turned out to be the perfect location for some group photos. At one point, a friendly employee photo bombed a group shot of the men. The bridal party erupted with laughter. The ladies jumped in and joined the men for some group shots, and the celebration began in earnest. Soon after, the bridal party moved upstairs to the suite for the ceremony. The suite was elegant and wonderfully decorated with a gorgeous chandelier as the centerpiece. The ceremony was traditional and the couple exchanged heartfelt vows. Following the nuptials, the guests enjoyed an outstanding selection of menu items. Then came the dancing. Four couples, all with an obvious passion for ballroom dancing, gracefully flowed across the dance floor. I could not help but imagine these dancers in the huge ballrooms of generations past. It was truly a sight to see. Thanks to Jennifer and Nathan for allowing us the opportunity to capture their moments that matter.
